Southern Region Coaching Camp for Visually-Impaired Women Atheletes

The Southern Region Coaching Camp for Visually Impaired Female Athletes was held in Hyderabad from 27 January – 2 February 2020.

This was next in the series to conducting the Northern Region Coaching Camp in Delhi from 10 – 15 September 2018 15 athletes from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala participated in the camp.

This camp was held in partnership with Netra Vidhyalaya Degree College for the Blind. Shri Sudhir Rana, eminent coach official from Athletic Federation of India and a close associate of IBSA, trained the athletes along with Shri Ramashray Ram from the Blind Relief Association.

As a new initiative of IBSA, an Inter-University Athletic Competition was organized in partnership with Netra Vidhyalaya Degree College for the Blind on 1 -2 February in order to promote interest and competitive spirit in sports among the younger generation.

A total of 110 boys and girls participated in the competition and won prizes. His Holiness Srimannarayana China Jeeyar Swamiji was the Chief Guest of the Closing Ceremony held on 2 February 2020.
