Goalball Workshop

As a part of the 21st National Athletics Championship for the Blind 2018 held from 10-13 December in Thyagaraj Stadium, New Delhi, a two-day Goalball workshop was conducted by experts from Finland and Russia. Kari Rasanen, Chairman, Juha Halme, Referee Coordinator and Alexey Baryaev, Sports Director from International Blind Sports Federation – Goalball. They conducted both seminar and practice sessions for the athletes, officials, coaches, and referees. The attendees were also awarded participation certificates from IBSA (International Blind Sports Federation) Goalball at the Valedictory Ceremony.

Around 100 players and 65 coaches and officials took part in the workshop. The workshop was sponsored by the IBSA – Goalball Committee in order to encourage and improve goalball in India.
